Jodeanne's Quote (Matthew 7:13-14)

Thanks for the Quote! I really appreciate it.. I like it too..
(from the bible as well.. Wow)

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)

I agree on this quote...
"wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it."
Pretty much saying.. Not to follow the crowd..
Dont follow everything everyone tells you to do..
It make work the first time.. but eventually its going to go so wrong...

Taking the easy route out of anything isnt the right choice often...
Everyone usually takes this way as its simple..
It gets you out without much hassle for yourself.. What could be better??
Why bother putting myself through hardship when in the end its still the same result for me?
But what consequences are there in taking the easy way out??

Do you neglect the past and just go on?
I guess maybe the past will come back...

And If you always have it easy.. How can u ever appreciate what you have?
You never know what may happen..
Like they say..

You never know what you got until its gone
..

"Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

I guess by narrow..
It means by making your own choices?
In discovering for yourself the right thing to do...
Its better because you learn the reasons to why it must be done..

Sure its difficult..
But its the struggles we go through in life that shape us..
Sometimes taking the longer harder way around to get to the same destination is a better choice...
Through hardships.. We learn how to handle the things in life..
Know the wrongs from right..
Learn from our mistakes..
To think of it.. Thats what life is about isnt it?
Learning through experiencing the Highs and Lows of life.. having a broad mind about everything..
Taking in to consideration the consequences of actions before executing them..

Its understandable why few people find this narrow gate....
Its hard... Its really hard..
At certain points.. many give up..
But giving up completely destroys the progress you've already made..
Because you've travelled on this hard journey for such a long distance only to turn around, go back and take the easy way out...
Then what was the purpose of even trying?

If life was always simple and easy.. We would never learn anything..

"Only when you've been in the deepest valley can you know how magnificent it is to be atop the highest mountain."

President Richard M. Nixon 1913-1994
